The Market
West Acres serves a strong, stable, diverse, and growing market that
primarily includes the cities of Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead,
Minnesota. West Acres is located near the intersection of Interstate
Highways 29 and 94, providing access to a broad geographic region. Specific
market information is available on request.
The regional economy has a strong agricultural base plus many new jobs
in diversified industries. The adjacent West Acres Business Park
has rapidly become the home to thousands of new jobs. The community
has an effective economic development program, excellent education
(over 20,000 college kids) and health care facilities. The crime
rate is among the lowest in the country.
Management
West Acres Regional Shopping Center is owner-managed by an on-site
team which stays in touch with the needs and wants of the merchants
and customers. In addition, West Acres has an ownership affiliation
with the Macerich Company of Santa Monica, California, giving local
management access to that premier center operator. Macerich,
traded on the NYSE as MAC, has had an ownership position in the
center since 1986. The other partners are the individuals, or their
families, that were a part of the 1972 development team.
